FootballForAll Festival to take place in Bahrain
Para Football and the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) are pleased to announce the upcoming #FootballForAll Festival, which will take place in Bahrain on 2–3 December 2025. The event aims to expand accessible and inclusive football opportunities for persons with disabilities across West Asia.
Organised as part of a long-term cooperation programme between Para Football and WAFF, the festival will bring together players, coaches, volunteers, and national associations from across the region, including participants from Bahrain, Iraq, and Jordan. The festival coincides with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December), highlighting a shared commitment to inclusion and equal participation in sport.
The #FootballForAll Festival follows a pan-disability approach, welcoming participants with different types of impairments to join safe and enjoyable football activities that encourage teamwork, confidence, and personal development. Through the continued Para Football–WAFF partnership, disability inclusion is being incorporated into long-term regional football development. This work is supported by needs assessments, capacity-building initiatives, safeguarding training, and the introduction of adapted football formats.
Across two days, the festival will offer a combination of inclusive skill-based sessions, mixed-team activities, and coaching workshops focused on adapted football and safe session planning. Participants will also take part in friendly 5v5 games and informal representative matches, with the event concluding in a closing ceremony that celebrates participation, teamwork, and regional cooperation.
The festival forms part of a broader multi-stage development programme launched in 2021. Following needs analysis and training support across WAFF member nations, it represents the practical implementation phase, providing meaningful opportunities for players with disabilities and contributing to the establishment of sustainable Para Football structures within national associations.
The 2025 #FootballForAll Festival will once again demonstrate the power of football to unite people across nations, abilities, and experiences. Para Football and WAFF reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that every person has the right to play, belong, and thrive through football.
