On February 28th, 2026, Para Football joined the Malta Football Association Disability Sports Network Convention online. The event brought together sports organisations, clubs, and experts from around the world to talk about how football and sport can become more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. As a global organisation dedicated to football for persons with disabilities, Para Football was invited to present and share its experience at this important event, held at the Centenary Hall at Ta' Qali, Malta.

In a powerful step towards making football truly accessible to all, last weekend the Fulham FC Foundation launched a dedicated football session for children, young people and adults with dwarfism - delivered in partnership with the Dwarf Sports Association UK (DSAUK). We spoke with Katy Shephard, Senior DisAbility Development Manager at Fulham Football Club, about this important initiative which could serve as a great model and example for others.

How Malaysia built a competitive CP Football program from the ground up and why their story is far from over ? In the dying moments of the 2023 ASEAN Games final in Cambodia, Indonesia scored in stoppage time. For most teams, this would signal defeat. But for Adray Uzair and the Malaysian CP Football team, it sparked something different: determination. "We were desperate," recalls Uzair, who serves as both athlete and team manager for Malaysia's national CP Football squad. "We were chasing the gold medal, and in the end, we achieved it through perseverance." That gold medal represented far more than a trophy it marked the culmination of nearly a decade of building a sport from nothing.

The TALENT project (sTimulating Awareness on disabiLity and coopEratioN via fooTball) officially launched with a kick-off meeting on February 11-12, 2026, in Vilnius, Lithuania. Para Football Foundation joins this 36-month European initiative as a partner, bringing expertise in Para Football development and inclusive football practices to promote social inclusion of persons with disabilities across Europe.

Together, we are building a game where every player counts. On 8 February 2026, the KNVB Campus in Zeist - the heart and home of Dutch football and the Royal Dutch Football Association - hosted the annual Oranje Para-Voetbaldag event, bringing together more than 100 players from the national teams of Amputee Football, Blind Football, Cerebral Palsy Football and Deaf Futsal.
