About

The International Football Committee on Mental Health (IFCMH) is the body promoting Football for people with Mental Health conditions, dedicated to empowering persons with mental health conditions to play football.

The committee was founded in 2013 when psychiatrists and social health workers from eight countries met in Tokyo to sign the “Tokyo Declaration on Sport for people with mental health problems”.

Participating nations: Italy, England, Denmark, Germany, Argentina, Peru, South Korea, Japan

IFCMH is the promoter of both the first edition of the Futsal World Championship for psychiatric patients, held in Osaka in 2016, and the 2018 edition of Rome. At the moment it is working on the preparation of the a future edition in Peru.
